Lynsey recently joined the girl’s 100kg deadlift club in the gym. I’m pretty sure 6 months ago something like that would never have been on her radar, or even have been important to her. But now that she’s feeling more confident in the gym, stronger, slimmer and toned, goals like that really mean something to her.
The feeling of setting a goal and hitting it really is incredible. And in the process of eating better and getting stronger, her clothes fit better and she’s happy in herself! I’ll let Lynsey tell you the rest….
What changes have you noticed since you took part in the Femme Fatale Transformation Program?
Since joining revfit my view on training has changed so much. I’m so much more confident in the gym. I never thought I’d enjoy going to the gym because of past experiences but I love going to revfit.. I’m happy with where my body is going im stronger, slimmer and toned. I look better in clothes and I’m happy in myself.
What sorta impact has it had on your life? (…and do you still get to go out and enjoy yourself?)
I work as a secretary so sitting all day and hit the gym three times a week. I eat well and enjoy my food I’ve gotten really into cooking healthy food since starting training. If I head out at the weekend I have a few drinks and I most definitely still enjoy my bottle of wine on Friday nights in!!
What were you feeling before you joined?
Lost, unhappy and bored.. I had been in a commercial gym for a year before hand and had lost weight and got a little stronger but I was bored with the same programs or going to the gym having to queue for racks and feeling unsure that I was doing anything right and in general being made feel in the way . I had no support there and no goals and there was no fun… I joined RevFit for supported training and I got so much more from it.
What’s been your biggest success so far?
My biggest success was hitting 100kg on my deadlift. I worked hard to get the goal I’d set for myself and getting there felt amazing. Still smile when I think about it!!
What was your biggest fear prior to joining?
Not been strong enough to to do anything not knowing what I was doing!
Any advice for people before they start?
The 1st day will only happen once and It’s not as scary as you think.
Training can be so much fun if you let it be.
Set a goal and celebrate when you get there
Oh and weight training DOES NOT make you bulky it gets you strong, hot, confident and happy!
