New Year, New Me?

5/5 - (4 votes)

So it’s 2018 and from what I can see most people are recovering from Christmas and the New Year’s shenanigans.

I was down in Carrick on Shannon, ringing in the New Year with some good friends.

Traveling down to Carrick, one of my best friends and I were talking about the health and fitness industry.

Online Coaching
He was asking me will there be a big push to get new members into the gym in January.

I explained that our 28-day transformation was closed so that come January  we wouldn’t be too overwhelmed with new clients.

In January we don’t offer any new spaces, the reason behind this is we feel our current clients would suffer as we brought our new members up to speed.

As the conversation developed he told me he has a friend who lives abroad and does online coaching. He approached him and offered him a place on a 12-week transformation program he was running.

Each week he would be given 4 days of training to complete and a nutrition plan to follow. Then there would be weekly check-ins to see how things were going.

Now my friend is a recent graduate in engineering, he has only been out of college a year so it’s not like he is making the super big bucks yet. So online programming SHOULD be more financially reasonable than one to one PT.

The PT offered him a spot on the program for the “low low price” of….. €2,500!!!!!!!

It got me thinking, each new year is about starting fresh and progressing. It’s so important to be surrounded by good people who care about you while achieving your goals and not about how much their bank account is growing.

Yes, a healthy bank account is important for all businesses, but for us at RevFit, we are not all about the money.

It’s all about helping you become a stronger fitter person while helping you achieve your health and fitness goals for 2018, and at the same time making sure you sustain and progress throughout the year.

Don’t be mesmerized by a PT who has the “ultimate” program, buuuuuuuuuuut, wants to charge you an arm and a leg for it. It’s great that you’re willing to invest in yourself  but you shouldn’t have to take a trip to the credit union to afford it.

Hell, they could even be sending you a generic program that is supplied to many or all of their clients.

Find Something that works for you
There are plenty of amazing PTs out there that really want to help you that will not cost you an arm and a leg to hire.

Find somebody who will be a good fit for you and your goals. That will be a person who will support you through your entire journey

You may be nervous, but take that risk. It could be the best thing you do in 2018.

(Side Note – Would you believe I actually wrote this blog post and then saw our RevFit FB live video that James did on the same day)

Do I love New Years? HELL YEAH. Here’s why.

In James’s recent FB live he talks about confidence to start on your journey or even to restart one you begin previously.
